Hmmm, maybe a bigger hammer is needed

Seriously though, they fucking make these cars and trucks damn near impossible to work on. "Need to change a headlight lamp, no problem, just drop the rear shift differential, yank the oil drain plug, say a prayer to your god and get our your wallet, then you may have it changed"

I used to work for GM in the early 90s and they weren't so bad, they weren't good, either, but the parts were easy to replace. Ford and Chrysler's were horrid though. When I went to work for Chrysler / Jeep and they had those new sebring convertibles you had to take the left front wheel to get to the battery. Chrysler has a shitload of minivans and we were constantly replacing transmissions in them. I had one tech change the trans on one 3 fucking times under warranty because the replacement transmissions were trash, too. My wife had a Lebaron convertible and the transmission in the thing would slip but ONLY when you turned left !

I've always bought Japanese cars because they're dependable and hold their value pretty good. I had a 1995 Civic Ex Coupe and it had 234k on it when I wrecked it. It had a suspension kit and air and intake mods and I drove the shit out of it and it never tore up, other than the occasional tire and brake work. I had to change the battery in it when I put the stereo system, etc. I had someone at work that was going to buy it for $3000 when I totaled it. Thats for a 13 yr old car. My 08 Lexus only has 17k miles on it after 14 months and it is in mint condition and haven't done anything to it. It throws a whole lot of dust on the front so I'm gonna put ceramic brakes on it
